Inserting Gallery Images into Articles

The user submission galleries are working, after some problems with the java upload applet related to the recent update of Firefox to version 3.6 . Mac browser users, bear with us as support of the JUpload Applet is still lagging for some versions of web browser for you.  You can illustrate news articles on the site  with our members artwork and images from the Galleries of member submitted work. Note that if the image location is changed, the links to it will not update automatically.

The process starts with you becoming a user, registering and building your place in our community.

  • see the gallery use article here to upload your images.
  • approve those images for use by others under public domain license by posting them in the public domain gallery. If you wish to retain rights to works, please post them in your user-created category and give a link to your license explanation file. Works used to illustrate articles here onsite will be considered a fair use of your work per our membership policies
  • Insert a link to a category, multiple images, a single image, or a slide show with the "Phoca Gallery Image" button found below the editor window articles (such as this one) are authored in. The options for these insertion choices are explained in the Phoca Gallery help pages.
  • here's  a picture of the Gay Parita gas station in Missouri donated by our user Mark Skidmore. Thank you for bravely testing the gallery add form and pointing out its failures.
